Simon Capewell is an Emeritus Professor, Institute of Population Health, University of Liverpool. Simon has worked in public health for decades, teaching, advising on policy, and researching the epidemiology and prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), hence studies on inequalities, tobacco, alcohol, inactivity and, crucially, poor diet. Simon enjoys family time, walking & gardening. He also greatly enjoys mentoring colleagues at all levels, helping them to overcome current challenges and fulfil their personal and professional potential.
