Phil Elliott

SCR Subcommittee Chair

I work in NHS research at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, an active research organisation which provides mental and physical health services. I am also an external PhD supervisor at the University of Chester.

My interests include health, risk and environment, well-being and mental health, and the relationship between lay and official knowledge.

My role is to support and mentor researchers and NHS staff in developing, designing and disseminating research across diverse topics related to mental and physical health. (I am also a mentor for the Society of Social Medicine).  I work closely with a wide range of academic staff at a number of local universities, and I am committed to bridging the gap between academic and NHS research.
