Local Officer
I am a postdoctoral research associate in the Population Health Sciences Institute at Newcastle University. I hold the Inequalities Fellow role within the National Institute of Health Research Applied Research Collaboration for the North East and North Cumbria. I am a social epidemiologist with a background in human geography and a keen interest in the role of place and geography on health. My expertise lies in health inequalities (especially geographical and ethnic inequalities), mental health, and contextual effects research.
On the SSM ECR subcommittee I support the local organising team here at Newcastle and co-organise the ECR pre-conference event with fellow local officer Rebecca Howell. I also help to support the roles of other members of the subcommittee.
