I am a Research Fellow in Systematic Reviewing at the University of Exeter, with a PhD in Health Sciences from the University of East Anglia. My current work is in Health Technology Assessment. I contribute to commissioned evidence-based reports to support the national policy decision-making of National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) technology appraisal committees determining which medicines and diagnostic technologies to make available for NHS use in England and Wales. Alongside my commissioned work on behalf of NICE, I am an active academic researcher with interests in evidence synthesis methods, social and clinical epidemiology, public health policy, as well as a broad interest in the social sciences. I also contribute to educational activities at the University of Exeter Medical School. I served as the ECR Chair for the Society in 2018.
