Mentoring Officer
Coordinating the SSM Mentoring Scheme.
I am a Senior Lecturer in Social Epidemiology at the University of Liverpool. I am an epidemiologist with a particular interest and expertise in the analysis of large health databases. My specific research interests span pregnancy, maternity and child health, gastrointestinal diseases, particularly liver disease, and alcohol-related harm. My primary focus is on developing work at the intersection of these fields, looking at the harms caused by alcohol consumption in pregnancy, how we can use public health policy to reduce this, and how best to identify and support children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and their families.
