Dear Colleagues We have an urgent need for some support immediately in the contact tracing element of the Public Health…
Welfare Officer
I am a Senior Project Manager at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, where I have been working in Health Services Research projects for over 10 years. I am also an Honorary Research Associate at the Department of Public Health and Policy, at the University of Liverpool. My academic background is in Actuarial Sciences (BSc) and Operations Research (MPhil).
Early in my career I worked in the private sector where I modelled complex problems with multiple objectives and multiple solutions, where I developed project management, business change and consultancy skills. My work in Health Services Research sparked an interest in Public Health, so I recently applied and completed an NIHR Pre-doctoral Fellowship to train in this area.
I am interested in the design, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives to improve health and wellbeing, with special attention to patient and public engagement and inequalities.
As the newly appointed Welfare Officer, I hope to support ECRs wellbeing by sharing and using my experience working in, with and outside Academia.
