Catherine Friel

I am a final year PhD student at the Social and Public Health Science Unit at the University of Glasgow. My research looks at inequalities in prenatal nutrition and whether it impacts on Autism in children. As a clinical dietitian I engaged with many individuals experiencing disadvantage and I was keen to explore this further through my PhD research. I am currently Chair-Elect of the ECR Subcommittee which I joined in 2020. My role mainly involves supporting Paul who is the ECR Subcommittee chair and also the Subcommittee more generally. I am looking forward to 2021 as we have an especially active and energetic Subcommittee.
