Welfare Officer
I am PhD candidate based at the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit at the University of Glasgow. I previously completed my Masters of Public Health degree at the University of Glasgow whilst working as a district nurse and went on to work in health protection in both Scottish and English Public Health care systems. My research interests include adolescent wellbeing, social media’s influence on health and quantitate methods, namely causal inference. My PhD is investigating the relationship between social media use and adolescent engagement in health risk behaviours, adopting causal inference methodology. As welfare officer for the Early Career Researchers Subcommittee my primary role is to promote issues aimed at securing the wellbeing of early career researchers, knowledge exchange and collaboration.
