Aileen Clarke

I am a professor of Public Health working in the Populations Evidence and Technologies group at Warwick Medical School.

I am a Deputy Director of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration West Midlands (ARCWM) and lead its Public Health theme. I founded Warwick Evidence, which undertakes Health technology assessments for NICE, PHE Screening and other policymakers. I  run a course in Health Screening, teaches on the Public Health Masters course at Warwick and is a Public health speciality trainer and supervisor.  I was recently appointed Chair of the Picker Institute.

My research interests include

• The relationship between research evidence and decisions in health care commissioning, and in health care
• Patient-centred care and policy
• Prevention and detection of diseases
