Our final newsletter of 2020 is now out!
In committee and sub-committee news, the newsletter welcomes the new members of the ECR and MCR subcommittee and we have further information on how you can apply for Committee vacancies (President-Elect, Shadow Secretary, Mentoring Officer(s)), the new positions available in the ECR subcommittee and the newsletter team as well as job vacancies outside of the society.
In the newsletter, we also look back at the Annual Scientific Meeting that took place from 9th-11th September 2020.
For those of you who were unable to attend this year’s pre-conference workshops, we have summaries from the coordinators, Dr Cornelia Guell and Dr Emily Haynes, who held a workshop on the ‘Promises and pitfalls for secondary data analysis and synthesis of qualitative research’ and Dr Vanessa Higgins and Dr Deborah Wiltshire, who led the ‘Accessing and using health data from the UK Data Service’ workshop.
According to the evaluation report, this was the first time many of the delegates attended our ASM. You can read the ASM evaluation report put together by Dr Elizabeth Breeze and the ECR subcommittee’s report on the workshop they ran on the ‘Great Mysteries of Collaboration’ with guest speakers Dr Ebele Mogo, Dr Mirjam Allik, and Dr Thomas Burgoine in the newsletter.
Save the date for next year’s ASM, organised by the University of Liverpool, which will be held from 15th-17th September 2021!
