As we start the new year, the SSM Winter newsletter looks back on 2021.
Last we had our Annual Scientific Meeting which took place over the 15-17th September 2021 as a virtual conference hosted by the University of Liverpool. We share the key findings from the evaluation report based on responses from 82 delegates. Including how delegates found the plenary sessions, workshops and using Gather Town.
The ECR section highlights the launch of the ECR blog series which celebrate early career researchers within the SSM and a blog series launched by William Ball, an SSM ECR.
The newsletter includes the final President’s Letter from Kate Hunt. We say goodbye to Catherine Friel, Niamh McGrath, Paul Henery, and Eftychia Kotronia from the ECR subcommittee. And we have an interview from Max Barnish, who looks back at his experience working with the newsletter team.
The Society for Social Medicine and Population Health is looking for new members to join the main and sub-committees- further details on the post is provided in the newsletter.
