Our first newsletter of 2021 is now out!
In this issue, we get to know members of the committee and sub-committees. The ECR Corner introduces their subcommittee that now has seven new members. We’ve got a who’s who on the main committee. This includes the new team overseeing the mentoring programme. For further information, Mentoring Officer Kate Fleming has written a piece on the scheme. If you are interested in joining the main committee, we have details on the Shadow Secretary position which is accepting applications until Friday 30th April.
The newsletter has a great research profile on MatCHNet – a new network, bringing together academics, policy stakeholders, data holders, practitioners, and NGOs to prioritise policy evaluation in the early years. The network is open to anyone with an interest in child and maternal health.
We have several events to look forward to this year featured in the newsletter including the Society’s next Annual Scientific Meeting hosted by the University of Liverpool taking place 15-17th September 2021. Registration will open early May 2021. Be sure to check out the conference website for further information and to avoid disappointment. The ECR & MCR Subcommittees are holding a sold out event on ‘How to make an outstanding fellowship application’. In our Dates for your Diary’ section we have highlighted some upcoming external conferences, training sessions and calls for papers.
